| | Dr. Patel was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. In 1992, he moved to the United States to complete his secondary school education at the Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania. After graduating with honors in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University he attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and completed his internship at St Vincent’s Midtown Hospital. His residency training was in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rusk Institute of NYU Medical Center in Manhattan. He joins us after completing subspecialty training in Pain Medicine at Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists, an affiliate of Mount Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. He is board eligible in both PM&R and Pain Medicine. He specializes in interventional spine procedures including epidurals, discography, radiofrequency ablation, neuromodulation and other many other percutaneous pain procedures. In addition to treating neck and back pain, he specializes in musculoskeletal and sports related injuries as well as electromyography. His wife, Reshma, is a physical therapist and they are expecting their first child in January. |
