John Nolan, Jr., MD

Dr. John P. Nolan is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and is Board Certified in Sports Medicine and in General Orthopaedics. He is one of the founders of our medical group.

Dr. Nolan grew up in Huntington Valley, PA, and attended LaSalle University in Philadelphia, receiving a degree in Biology. His Doctorate of Medicine degree was completed at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia as well. Dr. Nolan's residency in orthopaedic training was carried out at the Medical College of Pennsylvania; he subsequently earned an academic appointment as a clinical instructor there. Post-residency specialty training in sports medicine took place at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Nolan holds a patent for an arthroscopic laser hand instrument and was appointed clinical instructor at the orthopaedic division of Laser Centers of America in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He also served as an Orthopaedic Consultant for Pharmacia as well as for several area school athletic teams. Dr. Nolan is currently the Chief of Orthopaedics at Mercer Medical Center and has served in the Executive Committee of Capital Health System. He lives in Washington Crossing, PA, and is married with four children.
